We have a new tune!

This tune was written by Stewart, and was named by our member, Melanie Chadwick for her family – an honour she won with the winning bid in our TFA Fundraising Auction last December.

There are audio files and the notation below, plus a selection of videos recorded by Stewart to help you to learn the tune. You can watch the whole playlist on YouTube, or use the links at the bottom of this page to view the individual videos. Look out for the very special group play through in the final video!

Playlist for all Chadwicks’ videos:
This takes you through a series of videos as though we were taking part in a normal TFA evening. There is tuning check, a call & response rhythm and a 12-note scalic sentence which is surprisingly useful for the tune! So grab your fiddles and join in! Then Stewart teaches the Foundation line, the Melody and the Harmony lines in separate videos, before he recruits some special guests for the full play through! It is probably a good idea to have a listen to the tune a few times before trying to learn the foundation line from the video. You can use the full screen option or watch on YouTube (even on a big screen!) for the full experience! Have fun!
