A New Venue for TFA

It is with some regret that we are required to move out of our long-term and spiritual home of St Mary’s Heritage Centre in Gateshead. Due to the council’s budget plans to seek alternative management of St Mary’s, the lovely library staff will no longer be available to open up for our group meetings.

We are very sad to be leaving, but much research has gone into finding a new home. We are very pleased that we have found somewhere where we can remain on our first and third Thursday evenings, and although we are moving north of the river, we hope there won’t be too much disruption.

Our new home will be in the Church Hall of St George’s, Jesmond – where we have previoudly held some lovely concerts in the church. The hall is a good size and has a good acoustic, it is within budget, and is available for our usual time slots. There is also the option to remain in the hall for our sessions, and it has a second breakout room if we wish to use it. It also has parking and good public transport links, with West Jesmond Metro being 10 mins walk away, and the Q3 Quayside bus running past the end of the road.

We are looking forward to settling into our new home, beginning on Thursday 6th April as we practice our competition set for the Morpeth Gathering.
